Butchering Hogs

Brought half a hog home from the butcher shop the other day. We wanted to experiment with a few new cuts for the upcoming season. Not only was this a great Friday night- but we also have a few new cuts coming up! We just need to cook em up and see if they taste as good as they look.

Gilts on the Move

We are light on pastures this time of year…but there is plenty of work for the gilts to do. We would like them to stir up this area around the pond so we can plant in the spring. I will take a picture of where we moved them from….incredible rock harvesters!
